As many of you may know, CCLN has been working with DDS and the developmental disability community to develop the PAVE Service Outcomes System, a new system to measure and improve the quality of services for children and adults with developmental disabilities in California. You can find more information about the PAVE Service Outcomes Project on our website (https://www.ccln.org/About-PAVE).

One goal of PAVE - and a requirement of our DDS contract - is to recommend measures that could be used for the Quality Incentive Program (QIP).

The PAVE measures include many questions about service quality and outcomes. For QIP, we need to identify a smaller set of questions that best reflect high-quality services.

Our colleagues at University of Minnesota will combine responses to identify the top 10 core indicators and top 10 service-specific indicators. These recommendations will be shared with DDS along with information from other existing data sources.

Please note: We are not asking for feedback on the wording of the questions. The questions have already been extensively reviewed and may be revised later. We simply want to know which questions you believe are most important for identifying high-quality services.

We would like input from as many people as possible, including:

  • Self-advocates
  • Family members
  • Service providers
  • Regional center staff
  • Other members of the developmental disability community

We particularly need those who are providing or receiving one of the four service types:

  • Supported Living Services
  • Independent Living services
  • Supported Employment Services
  • In Home Respite Services.

You can find more information on how these services are defined on our website: https://www.ccln.org/PAVE-Operational-Definitions

Thank you very much for your help!
